You may find that your usual coping strategies are no longer working for you. You may be “successful” on the outside, but you feel empty on the inside. You may see yourself worrying more about the future and experiencing anxiety. You may notice yourself ruminating about something that happened in the past. You may be ready to talk about a traumatic event that happened years ago. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, and you want to stop.
Using a combination of a review of your early childhood attachments and wounds, your current thought patterns and coping mechanisms; I help you unpack the pain that you kept hidden to survive. I draw from systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness meditation practices to help ground you in the present moment to recognize the patterns of your thoughts. We examine if those thoughts are helpful in your current state and how to re-wire your brain to create lasting change.
